Fire Department Offers CPR/AED, First Aid and Stop the Bleed Class 11-14-20

The Sevierville Fire Department is offering a CPR/AED, First Aid and Stop the Bleed class on Saturday, November 14 at the Headquarters Station, 1162 Dolly Parton Parkway.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the class will be limited to ten persons, social distancing will be practiced, and participants will be required to wear face mask coverings (one will be provided if needed). The class is subject to cancellation if deemed necessary due to changing COVID-19 pandemic conditions.

The class is open to the public and will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. The class fee is $10.00/person (checks payable to the City of Sevierville), which includes all class materials and a certificate.

To ensure a spot please pay in advance; call 865-453-9276 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) to register/prepay.

The SFD will have CPR pocket mask/barrier devices available for an additional $10.00 (highly recommended).

Dans ce cours en classe, les participants apprendront à reconnaître plusieurs urgences potentiellement mortelles, à pratiquer la RCR aux victimes de tous âges, à utiliser un DEA, à administrer les premiers soins de base et à contrôler les hémorragies graves pour se sauver et sauver les autres.

Le SFD propose ce cours pour sensibiliser les prestataires, les soignants et le grand public sur la manière de répondre à certaines urgences. De plus, sensibiliser le public à l’importance d’une intervention précoce.
