Motorcyclist Arrested on Greenway

Sevierville Police Department officers responded to complaints of a man riding a motorcycle on the West Prong Greenway on Monday, April 22, 2019 at about 1:41 p.m. Witnesses had reported that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and had almost struck some walkers.

According to SPD Lt. Matt Nicol, while investigating the alleged incident officers located the suspect, 19-year old James Andrew Pritchett of Sevierville, TN. Mr. Pritchett was subsequently charged with reckless endangerment and transported to the Sevier County Jail for booking.

Using any motorized vehicles on City greenways and trails is forbidden. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
